Supported Contact - This activity enables young people to maintain relationships with a non-resident parent and extended family members with whom the young people no longer live. This service is provided at Cloona House on Wednesday afternoons 3pm to 6pm and Saturday mornings 10am to 12 noon.

Court Family Service - This service is provided by the South Eastern Trust as part of the holistic approach of Cloona Child Contact Centre. Referrals are made from Lisburn Family Proceedings court and this service is provided by the team of Court Welfare Officers. This service is provided at Kilwee House and is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Through these two main services the centre provides the integrated support as detailed below:

  • Seasons For Growth Programme - This is an early intervention with young people within their school and community settings. It provides the knowledge and emotional literacy skills required to deal with change in their family circumstances. Cloona is the only provider of this service in Northern Ireland.
  • Counselling - This element is new and unique to Cloona. Young people will be identified by external agencies and referred to this programme. Some will also be identified from Cloona’s ongoing work in the community.
  • Parenting – Many of the young people at risk have young parents and are at significant risk themselves of becoming sexually active, pregnant or a parent themselves prematurely.
  • Therapeutic Intervention with Children
  • Family Mediation
